Partnering with Open University on Conversational Roleplay

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Opni Háskólinn (Open University) at Reykjavik University to bring conversational roleplay into the bespoke courses they develop and deliver for companies and institutions.

To mark the start of this exciting collaboration, I recently stopped by their campus to hand over a recognition that reflects the importance of what we’re building together.

A Shift in Corporate Training

For a long time, corporate training has been built primarily around content: slides, videos, and generic multiple-choice exercises. While this approach is undoubtedly useful for distributing information, it rarely translates directly into better execution on the job.

What Atlas Primer is changing is simple yet profound: We are enabling teams to practice the exact conversations that actually determine outcomes, long before they ever happen.

Embedded Context, Not an Add-on

Opni Háskólinn is now embedding this capability directly into the specialized courses they build for businesses. Our roleplay infrastructure isn't treated as a shiny add-on or a separate destination—it is a core part of how capability is developed within their curriculum.

This fundamentally changes the nature of professional training. Instead of simply hoping that the provided information sticks, people actively build confidence and judgment by practicing the specific, high-stakes situations that matter most to their roles.

Training at Scale

We are already seeing this shift take hold across various sectors of workforce development. Partnering with a respected institution like Opni Háskólinn is a strong and decisive step in bringing practical, measurable capability building into how companies train their teams at scale.
